Two Gold Medals

I was extremely happy when i heard on C TV that there were two gold metals that were won both in Snow Board Cross as well as men's Moguls.Unfortunately i failed to see Alexander Bilodeau's final run that made him win the gold medal. I wish i would of seen it because it looks to cool to watch, with all the bumps. I did see Maelle Ricker win gold in the sow board cross finals. As i was watching i was on the edge of my seat the whole race.i thought that the whole length of the race it would of been an extremely tight race, but it wasn't, which probably took a lot of pressure off of Maelle Ricker's shoulders.
I also thought that the ceremonies to celebrate there win was really thoughtful because it gave hem a time to look forward to. What i mean is that they had another time where they could be proud of there performance. In my opinion even if you did not win the gold medal but the silver or bronze you should still be extremely happy because it is still really good.

Opening ceremony 2010

Last night i had to stay up extremely late to watch the opening of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. I watched it on CT V. It had started at 9pm and finish at midnight.
Right when it started i was amazed as to how much work had to be done to put everything together. The welcoming of the four nations in the beginning of the ceremonies was amazing. i found it very respectful to great everyone with open arms like the statues that had came out of the floor.
The Nation anthem that was sung by a Nikki something was the best version of O'Canada that i had ever heard, it was so mind balling that i got goosebumps.
The parts that i liked the most was when Bryan Adams and Nelly Fertado had sang a song that i believe was called bang your drum a little louder. I also liked the way the lighting was put upon the floor because it gave an impression that everything was three dimension. I found that lighting the best when there was the thunderstorm representation and everyone in the stadium had little lights which they were shaking.
I found it kind of not that nice when it was a man running on what was shown to be a field and then he would fly around the stadium. I also did not like it when the opera singer had sang a song, because personally i did not understand one word that she had said. Right after the opera sing or shortly after there was another song that was sang, It was one by the Quebec-er Garou, i found that good because it gave a little touch of Quebec.
What i found the best thing in the whole presentation was when a man had read an extremely powerful poem about Canada and about things we do and say as well as what our part is in the world. It was so powerful that i had also got goosebumps.
It was also nice to see a man on a wheelchair bringing in the Olympic torch and then passing it along other Canadians and the last one was Wayne Gretzky. I found it sad that not all of the pillars had come out of the floor for the big cauldron in the stadium.
I felt very bad about the tragedy that had happened earlier in the day but i found it very good to take a minute of silence for the dead athlete.
As a total i loved the opening ceremony and i am anxious to see the rest of the games.
